T.A.G's Top Twenty (2017)

2017 is over and done. Time to move into the New Year with anxious trepidation (as to how "The Industry" will try to get more of our Gamer Cash [I'm looking at you Microtransactions]) and bated anticipation (of all the uber cool games that will be released [Child-like joy ensues]). 
Or... we could give it the good, old "Once more around" and do the only thing worth doing with a year that gave us so many awesome games. We do a T.A.G's Top Twenty. 

Now I know you readers are in no way new to Top Twenty lists but this is the first one on the blog so give it a run through and give me your take on it.
It took me a while to put this list together and I agonized over it for a few days before settling on the constituents. Some of the games on this list definitely caught the attention (and the dollars) of many gamers right off the bat. Others, kind of snuck into our hearts and refused to leave. Still others, presented themselves and instructed, "Take me as I am" *arms folded*! (They were very unapologetic in their delivery. Some might even say a bit rude) and we did.
But one thing can be said for all of them and that is... that they made the list. *snarky smile*

Disclaimer: As you may have guessed, I have not played EVERY game on this list. (Partly because I don't own all the consoles and mostly because I'm a "Broke Gamer") However, not playing a game does not hinder being able to discern whether it is "Top Twenty" material or not (This, of course, is up for discussion). I have researched all the items on the list to the best of my ability (Youtube, Official Websites, Articles, Reviews, etc), critiqued them using my own criteria (Gameplay, Storyline, Visuals/Audio, Scores, etc) and placed them on the list if they met the standard I set. The list concordantly takes a few essential points (Adequate population, Appropriate representation and Accurate sampling) into consideration. Persons who feel the selection process was rigged and/or deviated from the standard protocol of list-making, in any way, may voice their displeasure. Note that in so doing, you may incur the wrath of the Gamer Gods and be cursed with but not limited to: Corrupted Save Files, Faulty Hardware, Hacked Accounts, Lag, Low K/D Spreads, Power Outages and any other punishment the Gods may see fit to inflict upon you.
