My Gamer Crest

My Gamer Crest :D

Hear ye! Hear ye! Under the patronage of his excellency, the archon of achievements, the chancellor of cheat-codes, the tyrant of trophies, his royal rapid-reflexness, T.A.G!!! We hereby commence the elucidation of the Gamer Crest (as seen above) that was graciously provided by Xbox (Microsoft?)!
Obviously (to the game-trained eye), my Gamer Crest is a visual representation of my virtual escapades as an Xbox (Microsoft?) gamer, for 2016, and each aspect of the crest says something about my gaming life. Less obviously, is the fact that, you will need to have an Xbox (Microsoft?) account and/or Gamer Tag to get one as it uses actual info from the Xbox (Microsoft?) servers to help generate your Crest. [Get your Crest here]

The following is the break down of My Crest (I LOVE SAYING THAT *big goofy smile*) into its components and their descriptions (as given by XBOX [Microsoft?])! I'm going to start from the periphery and work my way inwards. Here we go!

The Great Axes - Strength!
Rules are for the weak. What really matters is being awesome and breaking stuff, and everyone can just deal with it.

The Guns - Power!
Listen. There's a huge deficit of excellence and you're here to take care of that deficit.

The Fighter Jets - Duty!
You're serving something higher than yourself: your team. Because if you don't, pizza's on you.

The Dragon Wings - Courage!
People speak about you in reverent whispers in taverns and forums everywhere.

The "AD ASTRA" Scroll -
(Latin for) To the stars!
Space is awesome because it's full of fire and danger, but it's also quite sparkly, and that's something we can all get behind.

The Shield - Hero!
You're here to save sheep and throw axes. And you're all out of sheep.

The Knight Helmet - RPG!
You've turned every demon, monster, and necromancer we have into sobbing disasters who refuse to come out of their rooms. We're impressed.

The Grenade - First Person Shooter!
We're extremely jealous of your reflexes at this point.

The Dragon Head - Dragon!
You're like a gilded lizard with the light of a thousand victories glinting off your terrifying scales. We can do nothing but bask in the light of your glory.

The 5 Stars - Five Stars!
Looking at you is like looking directly at the sun. There's too much greatness to behold and it might actually do lasting damage to our eyes.

The Controller - New School!
You're here to win.

The only aspect not mentioned above is the "RYUJI268" Scroll which, as you should all know by now, is my Gamer Tag on Xbox! Ryuji (the name I gave myself) is my in-game persona. A plain, idealistic, goody two-shoes who does no wrong and loves fire magic and the sword and shield combo. I also prefer Offense over Defense (DPS FTW) and Healing over Support Buffs (Enemies die eventually, as long as you don't).
Ryuji is made up of 2 Japanese words: Ryu - which translates "Dragon" (My Crest has a dragon head and wings. Coincidence... I think not!!!) but it also translates "Style/School" (as in "the way something is done") and Ji - which translates "Second" but can also be used as "Govern/Rule". So, (the name) Ryuji (can possibly) serve(s) a dual purpose. It can be interpreted as "Next Dragon" (in a literal translation) or "Governing Style" (figuratively speaking), both of which suit me just fine. Someone even said to me that if you use it as "Ryu-ji" then it can be seen as a term of endearment roughly translated to "Uncle Ryu" as ji, in this case, would be used as an honorific (similar to Mr./Mrs. in English) for an older person!
The 268 is my way of representing my little twin island state of Antigua and Barbuda (268 is our area code).

Along with My Crest, Xbox (Microsoft?) gave me some statistics for the past year. These are self-explanatory so I'll let them speak for themselves.

Additional Statistics

If you decide on getting a crest of your own (which I highly recommend), share it with me and your additional statistics as well. You can leave them in the comments section (if you are brave enough) or you can email them to me at theantiguangamer@hotmail.com (for the shy ones).

All in all, 2016 was a good year for me and for gamers in general. (The Last Guardian and Final Fantasy XV were FINALLY released and Xbox Live Gold issued a decent amount of quality games that I have saved up for future use *suggestive wink*) Here's hoping things are better and brighter in 2017.
