RIGS (A)

Welcome One and All!!!
Welcome to the inaugural post in a NEW series I'm bringing to the blog. In an effort to garner more support from my PC Players and to add some equity to the blog, I'm giving the PC Gamers some well-needed attention (also, I'm keeping a promise I made a few months back). Ladies and Gentlemen, Boy and Girls, Gamers of ALL ages, T.A.G proudly presents to you... RIGS!
RIGS (An Acronym [You know I love my Acronyms] for Ridiculously Impressive Gaming Setups) was created after a run-in I had with a reader (Fan?) who gave me the 411 on how PC Players that read the blog felt.
It will be an on-going series and is dependent on YOU, the readers, providing the core material for each post. The general idea of RIGS is to have readers show(off) their PCs (Hardware, Setup, Specifications, etc). This will help to bolster the PC fan-base as well as inform and enlighten both PC and Consoles Gamers alike.

First up, we have MONSTER sent in by Thor-268.

The name of the build, MONSTER, comes from the popular energy drink (This post in NOT sponsored fyi...). There is a large Decal of the drink's insignia on the front radiator (You get a quick glance of it in the start of the above video) and the cooling fluid used is dyed to match the drink's vibrant colour.

Here's a Spec Sheet/Part List for MONSTER:

Case-
Thermaltake View 71

CPU-
Intel i9 7900X

GPU- Gigabyte Aorus GTX 1080Ti Xtreme Edition (Overclocked to 1746Mhz, Set in SLI Configuration)

RAM-
32GB G-Skill Trident Z 3200Mhz

Storage-
2 Western Digital 1TB Mechanical Drives
1 Samsung 850 Evo 500GB Solid State Drive
1 Samsung 850 Evo 500GB M.2 Drive

And keeping all of that cool, he has:
Coolant- Thermaltake Pacific Coolant (Dyed [UV-Reactant] Green)

Fans-
12 Corsair ML 120mm Fans
Corsair ML 140mm Fan (Push-Pull Configuration)

Fittings-
Thermaltake Pacific Chrome Fittings

Pumps-
Thermaltake Pacific DYI LCS Pump/Reservoir Combo (CPU Cooling)
1 EK-XRES 140 Revo Pump/Reservoir Combo (GPU Cooling)

Radiator- Alphacool 360mm Copper Radiators

Tubing- Thermaltake Pacific PETG Hard Tubing

Water Blocks-
EK Supremacy Evo X99 Water Block (CPU Cooling)
2 EK Aorus Nickle Water Blocks (GPU Cooling)

Clearly, a great effort went into MONSTER. Case in point, MONSTER has 2 separate cooling loops. 1 loop cools the CPU and another loops cools both GPUs. This was done to help remedy any Overheating/Throttling issues that may occur in the system. Thor-268 cited "The Island's HOT Climate..." as the reason for his double loop setup. His system currently runs at about 30-35 degrees Celsius (86-95 Fahrenheit) when idle and about 60-70
degrees Celsius (140-158 Fahrenheit) under stress. "Stress" in this case means Gaming at 4K Resolution with 60fps! (Me = Jealous)
After getting the full rundown on parts, I inquired about performance and was treated to the following image:

The results were obtained by running the 3DMark Time Spy Benchmarking Application. Numbers don't lie and MONSTER has some serious numbers, scoring 15549 on the test. In this specific test, higher values indicate better performance and (as seen in the picture) MONSTER scores better than 99% of other systems. This system is truly a beast!!!

Thor-268 spent the better part of 7 months planning, purchasing parts and building his system. In the dialogue we had he expressed happiness and a sense of accomplishment upon completing his project. He also told me about some of the hardships he had while finalizing the build. He said that the entire process was painstaking but most of the "headache" came from research.
"It was a nightmare" was how he started. "Which fittings and what size you have to use, the liquid I have to use, the fear of clogging issues. I get a headache when I remember those days!"
When asked what were some of the problems he encountered during the build he quickly answered, "SPACE!"
Then elaborated, "Even though I'm using one of the biggest cases on the market, I still had problems with space and Cable Management!" I probed for more info and got the following reply.
"During the 58 hours, every step gave me problems. Even with all the info on Youtube and the big channels that try to make it easy. There is always one simple step that makes something even more complicated. First was figuring out the loop map and how it works. Then I faced the problem of Tube-Bending and how to do it..."
He stuck to it though and with assistance from "an Antiguan guy, his name is Mike, and 2 guys that work for the Thermaltake Company, the ones that ACTUALLY build Thermaltake PCs" MONSTER was completed.

The Full Setup --> MONSTER
No Gaming Machine is complete without its fair share of complimentary accessories and equipment. Thor-268's setup has just that.

Monitor-

Acer Predator XB1

Keyboard-
Razer Blackwidow X TE Chroma

Mouse-
Razer Mamba TE

Headset-
Razer Mano'war Wireless Heaset (and Stand)

Controller-
Scuf Infinity 4PS Pro Modded Controller

And with that, we have come to the end of the first ever RIGS session.

An open invitation is extended to any and every one. If you want a chance to show(off) your Gaming PC, just send all the info (you want posted) to: theantiguangamer@hotmail.com
Pictures are more than welcomed (In fact they are advised)! Your kind patronage, in this matter, is expected! (Especially, if you want the series to continue)

P.S. A bit of fun for the masses,

(While I was working on the above picture, a [female] co-worker of mine exclaimed:
"Why does that look like BLACK JESUS... who has hit the gym HARD!?!?"
I laughed so much, my intercostal muscles and diaphragm are still recovering)
